Yes James the only explanation I can think of for such a large stockpile is increased throughput. At the last AGM, Wayne did mention that they had looked at extraction of the native copper and then follow on at a later date to extract the remaining copper/cobalt/gold but from what I recall there would have been some deterioration in the value of the copper [oxidation ? ] so this idea was abandoned.
Somebody else who was at the meeting and who understands the technicalities may correct me if I am wrong.
If it does transpire that 5 instead of 3 million tonnes is processed, then revised calculations of possible output and returns turn on this as they will also if the native copper nuggets prove more abundant and the copper content is higher as the company is suggesting and providing for in its plant design.
Once those excavators begin work and that is not far off, we will have a clearer picture of just how good Rocklands is-----not much longer to wait.
