I know I will get howled down and thought twice about posting this but I believe it is comments such as the the above quote that make you come across as condescending.
It's not your content, which has depth and insight, but the reaction to anyone with a differing opinion or the less informed that can be construed as belittling and insulting whether intentionally or not.
