@dawgfather
Don't assume..!
You are only assuming.. "if.., if,.. if"
Let's assume then; If your aunty had the balls then she would be your uncle, hadn't she
We have had enough of your BSs.
LTR is real and spod price is over $1300/t now.
We are not assuming anything here. LTR is now starting production and the 6% spod concentrate price is around $1300. That's what you should be talking about. We don't need your IFs and BSs.
Also, don't look at those BS spot price sources. GFXE, Plats, etc etc. They are all BS, because there is no one producing 6% spod other than Greenbushes.
The spot spod price is already very low.
No more room to go down any more than this, because if the LCE price would be any lower than this then lepidolite mines in China and petalite mines in Zimbabwe would be running at bigger losses.
China has no economically viable lithium resources.
Actually those lepidolite mines in China are already running at loss. In China, the local governments where the mines are and the central Chinese government are subsidising those mines. The mines in Zimbabwe also don't make profit because most of the resource there are petalite (low quality lithium ore) and the grades are not high enough to produce low cost concentrate there as well.
Because the lithium-battery-EV industry chain is a very important strategic thing, they do everything to be strong on this chain. This is a political issue now.
China must know well that there is a huge danger to keep the lithium price too low.
If they do that they will be shooting themselves. As I said a lots of projects won't go ahead at these prices. Then the lithium prices will go very high again.
China did this kind of thing to REE resources outside of China after 2010 and they killed all of them other than Lynas. But China had majority of REE resources in its own land. They own very little of lithium resources in their own land. So lithium strategy of China should be different than REE.
If they are not aware of this they should read my posts .
