I agree that this company knows how to destroy confidence. Nevertheless, their strategy post restructuring was to look for a buyer of, or investor, in Woodlark, and to continue defining resources in order to increase value in any sale/investment.
Clearly they are finding it difficult to obtain serious interest and the resignation of their CEO has not helped market sentiment.
PNG has not been attractive to gold companies of late. KSN has been looking for a buyer for its mine re=establishment at Misima with no more success than GPR and St Barbara has been struggling with SImberi. CBY has joint ventures with NCM and RIO in the region, as well as its resources near Wafi Golpu (NCM mine) but no progress on these. COVID issues have had serious dampening of activity and endemic corruption is always an issue that investors have to swallow. However, PNG has some very large mines and in the end value will win out.
Continued Woodlark drilling and modelling has led to a decrease in overall resource from 1.6Moz to 1.5Moz but confidence levels have improved with most ore now at Indicated status and 216Koz at Measured. A revision of the Reserves is still outstanding.
Following $12.4M cash & equivalents and zero debt at the end Q3/22, there is no pressure on cash levels.
