If you control that ~39% you need another ~12% and you've got an absolute majority.
Remember how close the vote over Bob Buchan was? This close vote was despite the dirty tricks KAH pulled to get as many votes as they could. Despite their massive holding.
I think KAH got a lesson out of that.
So, yeah, I think that KAH/Dattels/hidden-parties will want that 11-12%.
That is ASSUMING they control KAH. I think they are in the lead at the moment but, if I recall correctly, RIO with Coronet had over 22% at one time. I am operating on memory and I would be grateful if someone (Marben?) could give us the actual "team" percentages at the moment.
If Dattels and mates DO have KAH in their pocket then who do they have hidden under the nominee companies holding EXT? I seem to remember that CQS had over 10% of EXT. I don't know whether Dattels has them on side (I think the owner is an Australian) but I seem to remember that CQS was part of the London crew.
I guess that if I was a betting man I would bet that control of EXT is pretty much in the hands of people associated with the Dattels/Mellon/Stalker crew and if not then it is very, very close.
Having said that, I have to ask "so what"? Whichever way it goes, whoever is in control, we will walk away with a lot of money. Sure, one maybe more than the other but if we can't control something it is better that we just observe dispassionately.
