traditionally Chinese start to buy thermal coals at late May to early June, simply because they don't need heaters nor Aircons for spring.wake up to yourself,
Last December Qatar and China agreed to a $60 billion, 27year deal for liquefied natural gas (LNG). not Iranian. for a country of 1.4 billion people, bit over 2 billion a year means nothing, 2019 Chinese spend 17 billion to buy coal from Australia in one year! at the price under 100usd!!!!
the deal with Iran is to inject $300-$400 billion by foreign direct investment into the Iranian oil, gas and petrochemical industries. it's a 25 years deal which was signed in 2021 thank you very much .Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi was in Beijing last week, but didn't sign any new energy deals with China or at least didn't let anyone know about that.
about Saudi, again that was last December and was no deals what so ever, only meaningful thing was to use CNY instead of USD to pay for crude oil.
so, please check your facts.
