Allied Gold sees 5-week delay to initial gold production at Simberi project

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Allied Gold Ltd said the first gold production from its Simberi oxide project, located in offshore Papua New Guinea, is now expected in the December quarter, with a delay of about five weeks to the previous schedule.
The company also said the estimated total cost for the project has increased by 4.8 pct to 87 mln aud, but that it remains fully funded through to project commissioning.
