There is a method for determining value in a company.
Divide the net asset value by shares outstanding.
E.g. 2,785 mill / 303 mill = $9.19
I reckon if you write off 50-75%, you can find a nice buy price or $2.29 to $4.59, so I see a little more downside till it hits this level.
All in all, OZL is still in good shape. NAV fell just 9 mill from 2011 to 2012. The lower cash reflects greater divestment and lower commodity prices. Europe, the US and China will bounce back in a year or two, so you'd be kicking yourself if you didn't buy OZL soon. October would be a great time to buy it. I'll keep watching for now.
