    Just read that second announcement and have some questions that others may be able to answer:

    Am I correct that once a party assumes over 20% of a company they can then move towards a takeover (if they choose)?

    If that is the case (and i'm not sure it is as I don't know) then Timeone, depending on PLV shareholder approval of course, assume a much stronger position in and over PLV.

    Me being the stickler for language that I am ;) noted PLV stated that;

    "Pluton understands that Timeone is currently finalising an agreement with SS&T Group..."

    Understands or knows?

    The reason I mention this is that that language does distance itself somewhat from the negotiation between Timeone and SS&T.
    Whether that is intended or otherwise is worth noting regardless.

    The concern some shareholders might rightfully have at this stage, is the amount of money being spoken about, and the fact that Timeone have struggled to gather $$$ to stay in the game.

    These new amounts are substantially more.

    I am not suggesting there is a trust issue with PLV and Timeone at all. I am suggesting the possibility that Timeone might not be able to come up with the goods....again.

    That aside, the Cockatoo deal does look promising. Hardly a mined out ol' Island judging by the dollars being put up...tells me theres some surprises in store there.

    Comments here by Pelm recently re 60 million+ tonnes potentially certainly have some merit.

    "...acquiring, developing and mining the Cockatoo.."

    Seems to me that Timeone think big. Whether they can deliver is another thing - but their ambition suggests a takeover at some stage...perhaps...?

    They have demonstrated that they are opportunistic and ambitious. They now need to demonstrate that they can deliver.

    They have just bought some more time...again. The carrot is now a bigger promise and bigger deal....

    Now, while we are discussing Cockatoo lets not forget about that other island called we have big plans for...just across the bay....whats it called again? ;)

    And for the record, I remain ever confident that all will be well in amongst the 'issues'....
