Yellowcake, please compare apples with apples for us so we can cut through the "biomass" here.
(a) One ton of coal compares with how many tons of wood for the equivalent electrical energy output?
(b) Then if we know the CO2 mass produced by burning the ton of coal and sequestered in the tons of wood from part (a), I think we can work out a break even carbon price for biosequestration as a function of coal price.
This will do more to convince me than The Economist's slice of toast.
