Agreed. A self-charging battery is akin to a perpetual motion machine - too good to be true, but apparently true anyway.
Neuromorphic processing is another matter. If they can pull it off, it IS the next disruptive technology in the short, turbulent history of computing.

    Consider:
    abacus > mechanical calculator > vacuum tube > transistor > silicon micro-chip > optical fibre > > > neuromorphic multi-state processing.
Then combine it with flexibility, translucence and a flexible, self-charging battery. Invisible, printable, thinking film is just over the horizon!
But how long will it take to get here? For thirty years scientists banged their heads against the AI brick wall and made almost no progress at all. Then suddenly...
For twenty or more years scientists have been theorising and banging their heads against the quantum computing brick wall, also getting almost nowhere. Could a neuromorphic processor who's cells also remember what they are doing eclipse quantum, just as electric welders eclipsed blacksmithing? At $2 a share, one could get a controlling interest in SOR for less than half a billion dollars. There is no shortage of players with the means, and willing, to take a bet like that.
