Some really interesting metrics in this recent announcement to the market on the deal merger. For me the one the stands out is EV/EBITDA... if the company held todays stock price it would be 5.3x at the end of the deal but surely some uplift in that figure would be reasonable given the hedge gets cleared and SLR gets access to diversification plus you get a bonus for size etc. So let's assume we get a re-rate from 5.3x to 6.4x (the same as EVN) that would be a 20% bump in the stock price assuming that alone... Then what if they cancel the shares that SLR owns in RED or start up a dividend or something interesting. Exciting times
