The Mauritius info does make me even keener for CNM to get a slice of Binningup. As you say, it would have such a cascading effect. Even a 2.5MW piece of the Binningup pie would definitely open the floodgates for this technology.

If we dont get it, fine, a deal will come soon enough - but if we do, it'll light the proverbial rocket under this stock. If the WA watercorp sticks to it's timetable, we'll know within the month. Seriously exciting stuff.

If CNM don't announce a CETO III test site in the upcoming report I'm sure it's only because they're waiting on Binningup. If we get a contract it'll go in at Binningup. If not, i bet they announce an alternative site very sharpish to limit the damage.

In the meantime, surely, surely, surely, we'll get a $5m chomp out of this fund that's just been announced. CETO, (and indeed CNM's other technologies) ticks every box several times over by the looks of it:

    Media Release

    Senator the Hon Kim Carr

    29 Jul 2008

$75 MILLION CLIMATE READY PROGRAM OPENS FOR BUSINESS
Senator Kim Carr, Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, today announced that the Rudd Government’s $75 million Climate Ready program is open for applications.

Climate Ready will support Australian businesses developing new products, processes and services to tackle climate change by providing dollar-for-dollar support for research and development, proof-of-concept and early-stage commercialisation activities.

Applicants can apply for grants ranging from $50,000 to $5 million.

“It is vital that the Australian Government work in partnership with our innovative companies to address the challenge of climate change," Senator Carr said.

"Innovative products and processes that help tackle global warming can also create high-wage, high-skill jobs for the future, which is in all our interests.

"A huge global market is developing for clean and green technologies. Australian industry has the creativity and drive to deliver to world markets in this area," he said.

Senator Carr said that applications for grants are welcome for any company developing innovative solutions to address climate change impacts.

“A broad range of applications are expected in areas as diverse as water recycling, waste recovery, small scale renewable energy technologies, green building materials, and other products, processes or services to monitor emissions or reduce energy use," he said.

"Australian businesses can also apply for grants involving enabling technologies like nanotechnology and biotechnology that address the effects of climate change on people and the environment.

"Climate Ready is part of the Rudd Government’s Clean Business Australia initiative, a $240 million commitment to working in partnership with business to deliver energy and water-efficient projects with a focus on productivity and innovation," Senator Carr said.
