Should be pointed out that the first link is ONLY for the short sales reported for the last trading day. One day only.
The second link - the ASIC one - is for total cumulative outstanding short positions reported.
Of course, it is only as accurate as the honesty of the brokers in their reporting (an oxymoron if ever there was one)...
