Those are only the ones who sell because they foolishly think they'll be able to buy back in at a cheaper price. They then watch as the price quickly shoots higher, and anxiously begin to downramp in a futile attempt to essentially beg the market gods to lower the price. Don't know why people still try time the market, every bit of evidence available proves you can't and that any effort made to try and time things is useless.

Most people simply sell to pay off the mortgage, buy a holiday house or even a new yacht. These sellers don't return to the forum, they are content with their sale (knowing there is no way to predict the highs) and move onto the next venture, only looking forward towards the next opportunity, and never back at the one they missed. This is a trait of a successful person, and is why it is often so obvious to tell that those who downramp are themselves very unsuccessful.
