Hardly a conspiracy theory. I have no tin foil hat I'm afraid. Simple Buffet. Whatever works for you is OK for you. Trading is all about fear and greed.

But again I say, trading is not really the same thing as investing for future gain. It is a legitimate way of making money, but it is more akin to betting on the horses or the cards or lotto. And a different set of rules apply. You just need to know which table you are at.

As for shares rising in price suddenly, the only legitimate reason for that happening is that the value proposition of the company has changed and the reason that will make it shift gets announced to the market. If it rises more than is warranted there will automatically be oscillations in the SP and that is where traders make their loot. When this or any co makes announcements that are favourable to its future value, i.e. its revenue prospects in the longer term, the SP value will rise well before that revenue begins to appear. But if there are traders out there that exaggerate the rate of rise they are manipulating the greed factor of those who are eager to get in on the action, and those that swallow it are likely to get suckered in because "morning after" analyses will often see it fall back again. Then, if they exaggerate the potential weakness it will fall too far. And if they are good at exploiting the phenomenon they will do well then too. This is what TA tells you. It is those who do not realistically assess the value that get suckered. All in my opinion only. DYOR and think things out.
