    Retailers don't usually charge you credit card fees because they've priced it into the merchandise stealthily; rest assured they're being charged for the service and rest assured that's being passed onto you. And yes, banks are probably cool with waiving a small annual fee of a hundred or so for you in exchange for tens of thousands of dollars (or more) of your business.

    I'm a big supporter of the perks of credit lines but they're not free cash. Neither is Afterpay, but Afterpay is much more forgiving for those who can't keep up (where credit cards charge annual fees, late fees, interest, and trash your credit rating).

    It could just be that if you're offsetting your credit card fees against a house you own, you're probably not Afterpay's primary audience.
