Let's suppose hypothetically you do have 500m tonnes at this grade and this depth...do you think it's economic? that would be about 4 or 5 billion tonnes of overburden give or take a billion.
Does proving up the target - if it happens - make it economic to mine? What is the long term strategy for FMS...to mine themselves or to sell it to FMG?, because I don't see the urgency for them to grab it, they have a few decades worth of production already under their control.
(from FMG web site: Reserves and Resources
With about 4.5 billion tonnes of Resources, including 1.1 billion tonnes of Reserves already delineated from less than 10% of its 57,500 square kilometres of tenements, Fortescue is well-positioned to take advantage of the current 'golden age' for iron ore.)
Rather than calling people downrampers it would be good for holders to discuss some of these issues and what is the company strategy to realise value for long term shareholders.
Holders can discuss amongst themselves. I am not a holder. Good luck.
