Bottom line is Santos see something worth while and I believe it is not just conventional targets. And they more than anyone certainly know the economics of the area, have committed to early expenditure, and can possibly see some synergy to combining effort on this with the Cooper REM to bring sufficient demand and momentum that will bring economies of scale - assuming the right geological conditions present themselves. this won't happen overnight, but it may not be as long as people think either. Once again, if sufficient liquids at reasonable production rates can be achieved, the equipment will be brought in in droves.

And if there are areas of high TOCs and thick sequences within the HVS that may not necessarily extend over 500kms, well I'd be more than happy if they only existed over 50 to 100kms. Still significant if they produce at the right rates and composition.
