Hi Cows - Farside is one of my all time favourite comic strips.

yep, have dipped back in - yet to dip out. Nothing major - just dicking around while waiting for drill analysis - when the drill gets going again. I still think esr could be a good lth, but still have reservations on management. 2bill+ soi - where has all that investor money gone and what do investors have to show for that spending? Why no production to date. But that is nothing I wouldn’t ask of any other company.

I think the logistics have been heavily underestimated, especially now massive limestone deposits have been added to the mix. Just doing manganese wouldn’t have worried me so much.

So quite possibly some blowouts in timeframe to dig & export it all. Simply look at the tonnage targeted for REM. Pretty much Port of Newcastle size. So who can afford to build that and how long etc etc. PoN has trains servicing its 4 coal loaders 24/7.

timorlad touched on the issue with ship sizes & the time needed to get it in place. But Whoever exports is going to need a lot of them. And it takes 1-2 days to load each, so if you only build one loader….you understand.

That may not matter if you are after a long termer looking for dividends. So yeah - esr long term if drilling pans out. Maybe a buyout from a biggie - actually I’d say ‘probably’ for very serious interest. Which might work as a shorter term hit for investors.

Gold? Yeah I hold a few smaller asx stocks and some Goldfields (GFI) on the nyse.

There has been some movement due possibly to the ‘safe haven’ nature of gold with Iran/Israel. But nothing much. People think ‘gold!’ And see the gp go up & up, thinking share price inevitably follows. But not always. The business fundamentals and activities still have to be good. There’s also a lot of weird price suppression? on some of the Aus small gold stocks. Constant churning & some shorting. Demand not driving price up as many might expect.

The asx - a strange place.

I hold Horizon (hrz), Auric (awj) & Ausgold (auc) on the asx. They all have their quirks.

Auric is a nice tight ship financials wise with pretty low soi.
Horizon are pretty progressive & relatively fast moving.
Ausgold seem quite stable - maybe a touch overpriced but have just hit some nice new drill results.

Goldfields is a much bigger international thing with a sp to match. It’s one I have held for a while.

Hope that helps anybody. But really hate giving advice. Please do a lot of your own research. I’m often wrong.

    cheers
