re: 504.30 over 510 tonight? /gann45 Well thats exactly my point, I am not using there data there, but the last time the price of gold relative to the USD got to 6 it went from 500 to 350 in 1.5 years ..... bit of a coincidence that it should be at 6 again now when gold is at 500......
The gold dollar index normally sits between 2750 to 3750, its currently at 4662, higest reading on my graph is 5250.
So talk that what happens on the USD has not effect on gold now is totally false, this divergence from the USD is normal and well inside normal limits.
What it does suggest is that we are coming to an extream where the mechanics of the market will either see the USD fall or Gold fall. Becuase the bottom on the USD is evident and resistance for gold at 506 is massive, GOLD MUST FALL
