The rewards in SDL are definitely down the track for me.

I will be 60 yrs old in 8 yrs and that is when I will be looking for a healthy dividend from SDL to set me up for retirement.

Of course we are all going to enjoy massive capital growth during that period. When we look back in 8 years time at our respective entry levels people will ask "How did you get into SDL at that price". Our response will be because we took a few risks even when others told us not to. This is the classic risk/reward scenario.

I like many of you have watched my Mum and Dad justify every penny they have to Centrelink to ensure they can get a get some pension out of the Government. I do not want to be in that position later on in life.

The only way to be self sufficient in retirement (like the Gov keep telling us we need to be) is make wise and fruitful investments whilst we still have earning capacity.

You can access dividend.com and check out what BHP and RIO has paid their shareholders over the years.

In summary I am not really interested in SDL short term. The real rewards for SDL shareholders are down the road when dividends are paid and we are sitting on a massive capital growth in SP.

That is the reason young people why you need to start investing sooner than later. Wealth is nearly always created over a long period of time (because you never learn anything from getting rich quick, only how to lose it as quick).

    Closing out.

I am a true blood SDL believer, and I am not alone.

    2011 and beyond .................
