Only comes in on the 5th of August and for only six months, just an election plea from Miles when heading to the poles in October.

All this comes at a cost, be interesting to see the deal between translink and BCC with crossed over services.

From Monday 5 August for six months, we'll be reducing public transport fares to a 50 cent flat rate across all zones and modes on the Translink network.

This includes bus, train (excluding Airtrain), ferry, tram and on demand services in South East Queensland, and all regional buses.

Transport for Brisbane, previously called Brisbane Transport, is an organisational division of the Brisbane City Council, responsible through its related Council Committee for providing policy and advice to Brisbane City Council, and for delivering various public transport services across the City of Brisbane.[3][4][5] The division does this as part of an agreement with Translink, an agency of the Department of Transport and Main Roads that operates public transport across South East Queensland.[6]
