Germany is not Queensland on so many levels
Brisbane to Cairns is 1700 klms and then its another 1000 klms to the tip and has a population of just over 5 million
Germany from East to West is about 850 ks with a population with a population of about 84 million
The number of German passengers travelling short and long distances in regular bus, coach and rail transport was considerably higher in 2022 than in 2021, the year which was strongly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Passenger numbers rose by 29% to nearly 10.2 billion in 2022 compared with the previous year, as is reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on the basis of provisional results.
The figure was however still 14% lower than in the pre-crisis year of 2019.
Looks like their little idea didn't work did it.
