Yes I understand the concept, and I agree they are able to make some demonstrators with it.
But what I want to understand is technically speaking how they are able/targeting to reach this 55x faster or 1 ton a day as said on the website front page.
Even for the heaviest metal they are offering (inconel 718, 8.4g/cm3), a ton a day is around 119.000cm3 per day, so 5000cm3/hour
Lets say one laser can reach 100cm3/hour (highest productivity on the market right know for >99% printed metal density), they would need at least 50 lasers working simultaneously.
SLM has been fighting for the last 5 years to launch the NXG600 with 12 lasers... and they had experience
The same exercice for aluminium (AlSi10 alloy, 2.59g/cm3 way lighter) would require 16.000cm3/hour.
