Yea, France has pledged to retire 12 NPP to lower dependence on dangerous N power.
It is obvious uranium is too hot to handle, it’s great at producing power but getting rid of the waste is very problematic.
I actually love nuclear power and uranium, IMO Australia should be contracted to supply the world with uranium with supply guarantees for a premium backed by repatriating the waste back to Australian u waste facilities.
We got massive land area, it’s a no brainer, we could be the Saudi Arabia of Uranium.
Until uranium energy is proven safe and waste storage is addressed I won’t touch uranium with a 10 foot pole.
Wide spread global use of nuclear energy without addressing all the attached problems is a scary thought.
