still on the Dow, a technical comment: the RSI has bounced off the 50, that's OK. had the Dow closed down like it showed early intention of, a very nasty-looking fall thru the 50 would have ensued. and which is still on the cards, until otherwise confirmed. that's the RSI I'm talking about, not the EMA for which I share your respect.
it's the MACD that is still dubious. so far, unable to make upbreak thru the 9-day EMA. that would have looked nice.
please do not misinterpret my earlier comments on the "re: what a shocking day...." thread. I would hate to convey the impression that the Dow is entirely out of the woods. or ourselves, for that matter. and I'm not at all sure that we'll get clarification this side of january.
