@LuckyCharm - the article was a great find by @infoseeker and is very much relevant to the contract SMA secured in the wine sector.

What is of interest here, is the $55 MILLION funding is to be used for a rather impressive program of work. Consider;

Export and Regional Wine Support Package programs

1). The Export and Regional Wine Support Package will be managed by Wine Australia through a combination of direct implementation, contracted services and a range of grants schemes.

2). Program 1 will accelerate growth in international demand through dedicated, multi-year marketing campaigns in the United States and China, representing a more than eight-fold increase on current investment in these markets.

3). Program 2 will create export-ready businesses by building the capability and capacity of grape and wine businesses to capture export and tourism opportunities. This will include a wine exports grants scheme for current and new exporters to China and the United States.

4). Program 3 will capture growth in wine regions by offering state-based and competitive grants to develop exciting wine tourism experiences and attract international tourists.

5). Program 4 will transform cider businesses by building knowledge of potential export markets and developing improved understanding for accessing these markets.

SMA is already in this line of business and is helping exporting over 120 wine brands into China and the respective members of the advisory board are aware of SMA. So, lets all wait and see how this unholds.

IMO, great synergy exists - in particular taken into consideration SMA's bespoke mobile & e-commerce systems and how this can be integrated with WECHAT and ROOLIFE.

In addition to this, other cross e-border opportunities also exists - this includes other services and B2B opportunities which have not jet been discussed....

With regards to JV and M&A, I already alerted SH's to possible opportunities years ago - I say it again, anything is possible...

Remember, if you dig deep enough things will emerge...
