also all old time records only capture the grade of gold fed to mill , none of them include a diluted grade for waste. All the old time ore was hand sorted so only good stuff was fed to mill . You can find records of 7 gram waste backfill in the stopes ,obviously they never considered that profitable at the time. Lots went broke on 12 grams mill feed a hundred years ago . It’s all in old records if you have the time to dig them up and read them .
