when the case was first announced they said they didn’t agree and would defend, so that’s pretty much saying they believed they did no wrong. Since then they have said they would be happy to settle to avoid the costs of going to trial. Certainly the actions they have taken to beef up compliance etc suggests that some loans were not compliant with responsible lending.
