The announcment is good news fro LTR over comming months becuase LTR will be included in All Ordinaries Index calculations.
The reason every thing is in the red is probably just a whole lot of negative sentiment surrounding recovery from COVID19 lockdown, China situation and the Black Lives Matter protesting etc.
I personally think stocks have rebounded too quickly in comparison to recovery in economies from COVID19, but that is just an opinion.
