If it was at any cost then they would have successfully established that well and truly by now. Im not saying that they dont want regime changes, its a given that they do (and so should anyone), but its certainly not at any cost otherwise they would have invaded and sorted it out quickly.
Can you explain how the West benefits from the resources, cheap labour and strategic advantage? Would we be exporting the natural resources at low cost for our own use? Would we be shipping work overseas reducing jobs for workers at home? Sorry, I just dont understand if thats what you mean or if what you think would be a likely scenario.
Imperialism failed a while ago and the world knows it. Its also a bit rich to be accusing the West of Imperialism (last time I checked both Iraq and Afghanistan run their own government and free elections) now given Russias moves recently.
