I had shares in TER when Wallace was Chair and then Deputy Chair.
He was the guy who managed to get TER's Trophy "Blair Athol" open cut coal asset from Rio Tinto and then negotiate with the QLD Govt for the share transfer, all for the princely sum of $1 (TER also got about $US75m cash for rehab as part of the deal). It was literally the deal of the century.
From memory TER turned over $100m in the first year at Blair Athol and it's still making good money even with the lower Coal prices. I can only see this as a positive. Maybe they are bringing him in to drive production now?
