not quite it works differently for Open and CSPA.

The opening trade and the CSPA trade are each at a single price which basically is the price at which the most trades will occur (it is slightly more complicated see http://www.asx.com.au/resources/education/basics/open_Close.htm ).

So if you way overbid (like say $2.50 for Lynas) at say 4:01pm during CSPA and the match prive ends up say $1.74 then because you were the highest bidder you get your shares first but you get them all at $1.74.

Also note if you try and get too clever during CSPA you can drastically alter the match price.

Likewise this morning if you were the highest bidder you will get your shares first but at the match price - hope this helps
