Yes the UCL bid would be essentially pointless with MAK at 50% unless MAK have the right and exercise it to effectively onsell their new shares in BON. I'm not sure about the law on that but it seems reasonable that having control of the shares means they also have the right to onsell them if they wish.
Anyway it's just some idle speculation about hypotheticals and how MAK might maximise their interest in the region at minimal cost.
