dz>>what is your view on money from royalties feeding into a dividend or this a sell for big profit and hold some until another drug in the pipeline emerges.

I dont know, but it is a very good question, so I thought it deserved a self-titled thread...

So, if a deal is done, say in the order of a Festinavir $300m + more for ATC, that will lead to an upfront payment and presumably a run of milestone payments as ATC moves quickly thru a phiii with 'near term approval potential' to market and royalties...

What will AVX do with the current cash and investments, significant milestone payments and 'near term' royalties...?

We've seen ACL struggle in the market because much of the near-term revenue will be spent on more trials...

But AVX have no staff and their only two remaining drug candidates (ATC and integrase) WILL be partnered, with the partner taking on all expenditure...

So, with no leakage of cash what will AVX do with all the money...

howabout a capital return to long-suffering shareholders of 5c per share, or with 800m shares about $40m...
With >$25m in cash and listed investments already in hand, plus some juicy milestones, this seems realistic...

I also think this is a good topic for discussion here on HC, at the AGM, and something AVX should be making very clear to the market as soon as possible

With all drugs partnered, and nothing further in the pipeline, cash from any deal SHOULD go straight to the bottom line and drive that share price...

    'to the moon'
