Selling out after making "fractions of a penny" and rebuying on dips does exactly what you are talking about, it increases my share count while increasing my account dollar value
Also, people who held since late August (for example) while the share price went from 3.8 to 4.8 to 4.3 to 4.8 only made money once. I made money twice
