It would be great to have such information Liamjurd but no I don't have any inside mail how the new BFS is shaping up except for my own observations. Those observations however tell me that the new BFS will be sensational. For starters the last BFS had price assumptions for boric acid at $587 per tonne and SOP at $660 per tonne. Firstly, boric acid the last time I looked was $1050 (but lets say $1000 p/t) which is $413 p/t higher than the last BFS. At full production of 450000 p/a that adds $185,850,000 to the bottom line by my calculations,( not that I'm an accounting expert by any means). I know potash prices are going crazy especially since Russia, Belarus and Ukraine are substantial suppliers of potash but I cant find a recent price. Lets go conservative and say $850 p/t for SOP. In full production of 400000 p/t that adds $76,000,000 to the bottom line .
We also know that our lithium will now be included in the new BFS so I'm totally guessing what to add to the bottom line but prices are crazy high there too so lets add $50,000,000 to the bottom line. The previous EBITDA was $452.7 million in full production and if you add the increased prices for boric acid and SOP and my assumption for lithium that now becomes $764.2m, an increase of $311.5m or close to 70%.
These figures are back of envelope calculations and based on my scotch affected assumptions (it is a long weekend here afterall) and I stand to be corrected on any of the above numbers . I do welcome share price assumptions from more learned posters on HC if these figures stand up to scutiny. GLTAH.
