They have about $5mil of capex FY22 (probably mostly spent, and factor into the FY22 cash FC) and $2m in FY23, so not large by any means, so no need to raise for that.

Raising and holding cash now for the sake of it makes no sense... unless you thought the SP was going to keep going lower in which yeah good idea. But if that is the Boards view, then they should be sacked and find someone with a strategy to grow and deliver an improving SP.

The buying power of the $ diminishes faster in inflationary environment, so don't hold too much of it. Yes you could apply it to debt, for which interest rates will increase too. But by the time they factor in a 5% -7 % fee for the cap raise and then devaluation in the dollar of 3-5% over the next 12 months, that is a 5-12% loss on the raise.

And if a 5GN holders has exited and not held faith (good on them for getting out at higher SP) but why punish existing shareholders so non holders can get in. Anyhow, it would be an into raise with an SPP or rights issue anyway, so any retail investors who have existed couldn't participate anyway unless the SPP was offer with an accompanying prospectus, in which most ppl don't know they can participate in anyway...

Not to mention, the offer would be at 30c (based on todays close)... Might be higher after results Monday . But that will set a new ceiling to the SP short term unless there is a catalyst.

Again it comes back to the core question, why raise when you don't actually need to. If they had an acquisition lined up, full cash then maybe i can get it. If they had a debt and CF problem I also get it. There is no reason to suspect any of the above.
