I think the lack of any sort of progress in recent years will hold this back from any significant gains until management can show that they have some sort of forward development plan.

An interesting comparison is AVQ who are in the Solomons, and have associated tenure/political issues. Their plan last I checked which was a year or two back was to set up a 1-2mt/y DSO operation shipping unprocessed material to customers for quick cashflow from minimal infrastructure/CAPEX, then try to scrape together the $1B+ to build a laterite processing plant (eg Goro) down the track. Only issue with the DSO approach is that I don't think cobalt credits are paid as the ore is used for nickel pig iron so cobalt is not recovered.

I believe RMI had looked at a DSO operation a few years back but not sure what came of it. I believe there are some higher grade (>1.5%) areas in the overall resource.
