IMHO, the drop is due to the exit of the large shareholder. the $6.82 price for the crossing sale could be deceptive or misleading, so that it created the impression in the market that big investors were willing to buy at $6.82, so that retail traders were sucked in.
It was well planned and played. very ugly market indeed.
