this is from the vil thread. have a read of it and have a another read of smith #1 results. outstanding results smith #1 , simply outstanding.

vil thread says note: gas is gas. but it can be contaminated by water, and therefor uneconomical to retrieve.

the actual figure of 6800 is only significant in a negative way, ie GGP must use a thicker mud to lubricate the drill and as a result slower drill speed.

the presence of gas is good because we know we're not just drilling into dirt, but we still dont know what we will hit or how much of it.

then their is the economics of it all. will water presence effect the flow rates, is the quality and quantity there, etc. its already looking like going deeper than the original 'low cost' well.
