Yes based on their circa $256m in the bank (Nov 24 AGM), IMO they could fund the trials themselves.But in MSB's case, its not just about the funding - its also aligning yourself with expertise and very astute and clever people ; distribution partners 1st to market; and protecting that space ect.
In relation to funding (in my view only) I dont think there will a capital raise again ( it would not make sense to me) , but rather MSB partnerning with Big Pharma as a strategic investor in Mesoblast (like the CEPH deal where the Pharma is bolstering their Pipeline) .
