Potentially, but Tyro has focussed on POS integration and building out the gateways so I'd say that would provide some stickiness in health and businesses with any decent inventory. I believe their prospectus mentioned that POS vendors are an important source of sales. Also worth remembering Tyro has a banking license. I'd say if it all works and becomes available here Tyro might even offer it as an option for their own point of sale reader instead of their current hardware. It's not as if the reader is their business, my understanding is that they don't even charge for it.

I expect the Apple solution might be attractive in simpler situations where fast clearing of funds isn't so important, particularly if bundled with a simple POS. Maybe the golf course example. just my opinion
