Hey mate. Technical Analysis has not been shown in any peer-reviewed study anywhere in the world to repeatably drive investor outperformance at the retail investor level. Momentum trading can work at an institutional level but the barrier to entry is a mainframe and supercomputer that can execute trades hundreths of a second faster than your competitors: nothing that you or I are going to have access to any time soon!

However TA does allow pumpers, rampers or those with a story to tell to weld a narrative to a particular days / weeks / years of 'price action' in order to justify their view (can be up or down). Be very wary of that sort of garbage. There is far far to much of it around and the more of it people use the more 'sophisticated' the get with their language. So what starts as a bit of innocent cheerleading 'woo $5 party' ends up with something like 'good solid base forming after ST tree shake flushing out weak hands and big boys manipulating stocks'. At best its horribly misguided and uneducated (the modern day version of reading animal entrails to predict the weather) and at worst its an attempt at stock manipulation.
