    I don't see APT in the same way as pay-day lenders or bank credit cards with their usury interest rates. They profit from the vulnerable and/or undisciplined spenders.... APT's model promotes budgeting. If you don't pay on time, they simply suspend your buying ability until you get back on time so you can't run up crazy debts. They are primarily getting their profit from the merchants, who get the benefit of having an old-fashioned "layby" system without having to run it themselves.
