    I'd suggest that this commitment before finishing the report simply reflects the terms of the farmin - i.e. pay for the evaluation report and a drill to earn your share.

    Choosing where to drill (out of a couple of obvious locations) will be guided by the outcome of the evaluation report.

    Just my thoughts.
