I agree. 6 year term like the Senate.

We have the crazy's in the upper house because of the preference system. they worked out where they were most effective.

For instance SHY is there for the next 6 years, and that is like having a mushroom running the show. She will not get elected again, but by then she will have her super etc.

Currently the major parties are trying to put some sense into minimizes the silly minor parties..

With the election every 6 years, we would save money with fewer elections.

Also they would not have to be chasing so much money for the campaigns. i.e. less campaigns.

do not know how the recall system would work, I thought we had a Governor General to look after that.
