I fully appreciate your and DE point on that. Yes with with significant tech advanced in fracking unviable shale play in the past become viable economically bad become good, good become great and great become excellent. But US has significant attractiveness over UK shale in that their market demand is huge and easier to get on with drilling. UK has better pipeline infrastructure to get to market good price but really sh..t and lack of political and environmental wills o get things done and smaller market demand. So it is not aple to aple comparison. For Caudrilla valuation we need to show metrics of gas flow acreage is less likely to be factors for equity and oil majors. US play is well demonstrated to be productive and so acreage value is less risky. If we can demonstrate gas flow from appraisal wells can supply 10% of UK annual demands for 100 years (as claimed by Caudrilla team) then I think valuation of Caudrilla will be roughly £10billion at current market price.
