Split may fix Centro crisis

Insiders agree that a split of Centro Properties Group's Australian and American interests may be a long-term solution. In the short-term, Centro is undergoing reorganisation and selling assets to regain strength, including a likely sale of assets held through the $A5 billion New Plan Excel Realty Trust in Centro NP. Centro will release its 2007-08 results in late August 2008, the same week a shareholders' class action law suit hearing begins
